Home and Garden Tour - Sept 9th, 2017

The 2017 tour hosted by The Friends of Wayne features 'Windows on the Water'  in our lovely small village in Wayne, Maine.

The Tour has become a popular event showcasing a variety of beautiful, unique, historic and contemporary homes and camps nestled between Pocasset and Androscoggin Lakes.

Our sixth tour will offer an inside peak into historic family camps, charming older homes, beautiful newer homes, fall gardens, architectural landmarks and more surprises!

On every home tour each home is staffed with trained volunteers who offer historical and personal interest details about the rooms and gardens. The tour is a benefit for the Cary Memorial Library and the Wayne Community Church.

We love exploring every property on this lovely Central Maine Home Tour, admiring the achitecture and interior design, the lovely fall gardens and of course learning about each place from the friendly volunteers.

This is an outstanding tour with so many caring volunteers who love their town and home owners who thoughtfully open their doors to share beautiful treasured spaces!

I wanted first to express what a beautiful home tour we had today, it is a tradition that I have been doing with my daughter, Morgan. All the volunteers were incredible and I always get inspired by the beauty that we get to enjoy during the day. Thank you for all the hard work and passion that goes into the planning of such a wonderful event.
